Hi, I'm Jaz
For years, I lived in my own body like a stranger.
Anxiety that came out of nowhere. Hormonal acne that no cream could fix. Mood swings I was told were "just stress." Irregular cycles I was told were "just normal."
I was a nurse — trained to read labs, interpret vitals, spot what others missed — and even I couldn't get a straight answer about what was happening inside my own body.
So I stopped looking for someone to fix me. And started learning how to listen to myself instead.
That search led me to Functional Medicine. And it changed everything.
Who I am beyond the credentials
A healthcare rebel who refuses
to be put in a box.
I'm a fiancée, a forever student, a world traveler, a slow-living connoisseur, and a multi-passionate human being. I love God, I trust plants, and I believe the body holds more wisdom than any protocol ever could.
I grew up first-generation Mexican-American in Texas — watching the women in my family carry everything with grace and ask for nothing in return. I learned early that strength looks a lot like silence. It took me years to unlearn that. Now I teach other women to do the same.
The clinical background
I left the ICU.
Not because I burned out.
Because I found something better.
I spent years in the ICU drawing labs at 3am, advocating for patients who couldn't speak for themselves, and learning to see what the charts couldn't capture. Nurses are the eyes and ears of the hospital — and I saw a lot.
What I saw was a system built for crisis, not for healing. A system that waited until people were broken before it paid attention. I wanted to catch people before they got there.
So I left. I became a Board-Certified Holistic Health & Wellness Nurse Coach with specialized training in Functional Medicine for Nurses. And now I do the most meaningful work of my life.

What this is really about
"This isn't sick care.
It's soul care.
And you deserve someone in your corner who sees the whole picture."
Now I help women understand why their body is doing what it's doing — and remember that they were never broken to begin with.
We don't need to do more. We need to feel more. To stop performing wellness and start actually living it.
Welcome to RAW. I'm glad you're here.
